Gossip Girl

Hey Salt here, I love this show; I give it 4.5 out of 5. I’ve been watching it since 2007. It’s very drama filled. The plot of the show is when drama happens at this high school in New York, there’s this one person that gets all the details and sends it to everyone. There are five main characters. Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively, who also is in both of the Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants, and Accepted) who has a dark past, and is best friends with Blair. Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester who is in a Cobra Starship video, Good Girls Go Bad, and also was in Law and Order) is the Queen Bee of the high school that they go to and is also best friends with Serena. Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford had a part in, The Haunting of Molly Hartley and is to be stared in Footloose) who is rich, and popular guy and is friends with Chuck. Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick appeared in Donnie Darko) is a womanizer and friends with Nate. Dan Humphrey (Penn Baggley did voices for Mario Tennis 64, and was in John Tucker must Die) is the last main character. He’s a loner and is from Brooklyn, which the other characters live in the upper east side of New York. The other characters think Dan is poor because he’s from Brooklyn. When these people get into some drama it gets to sent to Gossip Girl, and everyone knows about it. The person that is Gossip Girl is a mystery because she posts about everyone it could be anyone. Besides the drama in this show there fashion is on point. They dress like they just came off the runway. When Gossip Girl first aired on TV the characters were in this junior year, but since the show went in to their third season they are now entering college. Everything’s turned up side down the once queen bees (Blair) are now the loners, and the loners (Dan) are now the queen bees. But you have to check it out for self to get all the juicy details.

XOXO Gossip Girl

Behind The Music

Hey Salt here, I was watching Behind the Music, it was the Lil Wayne version. It was interesting because some of the things I had never heard of before about him. Some things I found about was Lil Wayne was on the honor roll when he was younger. Too me he doesn’t look like he would be on the honor but on there he said “The teachers where there, and the answers where in the book.” Something that isn’t so up lifting was when he was in 6th grade his mom was at work and he found his mom’s gun and he took it into his room and turned his music on and nodded his head with the gun in his hand and then not thinking he pulled the trigger. He had accidentally shot himself. But he didn’t die thankfully because he wouldn’t be able to the best rapper alive. Now that I now a little bit more about Lil Wayne neighborhood I respect him for striving for what he wanted and perusing his dreams, in spite of his childhood. He can be an inspiration to those who have a dream that grew up in the same neighborhood he did.

Review Over Others Blog's

Hey Salt here, I was checking my follower’s blog's and I wanted to blog about how they felt about the Apple Documentary.

Movie Busters Busting Movies

I read their blog for the apple documentary and I think they had good background information about the movie. If someone hadn’t seen the movie they would now what’s going on. But I have to give Monster a thumbs down when he said, “ this movie gets the monster approval. Now go see it for yourself.” This movie to me was kind of boring, and put me to sleep. But Monster has the right to his opinion! But I wouldn’t tell people go check it out. Sorry Monster. (Go check out there blog)

Fresh Flicks Picks

I agree with them because I’m very thankful for apple because I wouldn’t have my iPod. I would probably be stuck with a Zune or something. I also agree with them about the boring part. That guy that had all those computer was so funny. (Big ups to this review : )

CNK

I liked how they explained the history just like the movie busters. They were right about the rating, it was funny in some parts but it was a putting to sleep movie. (You should go check this blog out)

Hey Butter here and I’m going to review about other follower’s blogs.

Hardcore Movie Nerds

Hardcore Movie Nerds, wrote a blog about Dr. Horrible’s Sing-along Blog. I liked how they gave their opinion about what they liked and what they think Dr. Horrible (Billy) should do for a career. I also liked that one switched off and asked another what he thought about the movie. But what I didn’t like was that you didn’t put the rating of the movie. It was also kind of short, the movie review. You can summarize it up more and include who the actors are. But other then that the review can use a little more help.

MaskinPham Masking You!

MaskinPham Masking You!, reviewed Dr. Horrible’s Sing-along Blog. The review includes whom the actors. That’s really helpful to viewers that haven’t seen the movie. I also liked how they had when the movie was filmed and how it won an award. The writes strike had a lot of drama. So its good that they included that in their movie review. I also liked that they had the rating of the movie, its good to know the blogger’s opinion. This movie review was pretty good.

Blood Rose Watching Movies

Blood Rose Watching Movies, blog about Dr. Horrible’s Sing-along Blog. This movie review was pretty good. It includes who the actors are and a pretty simple summarization of the movie. The summary was pretty short though; it could have been longer to explain what the movie is about. There are some spelling errors though out the blog, so you might want to double-check that in word. I like that they gave their own opinions about the movie, its good to know what other people think about the movie. Over all the review can use some checking to but it was pretty simple and sweet.

Vampire Diaries

Hey Salt here, this is a new series on the CW and its been catching my attention because it’s kind of like Twilight. But the only bad part is that they don't have any wolves. There are good vampires and bad ones. Woooo I can’t even describe how deep it gets. One minute someone is kissing a vampire then the crazy vampire turns all pale and stuff and sucks their blood! I have to give props to the make- up team because they make their faces all cracky like real vamps. Also I like those dark contacts they use. Last week I jumped in my seat because one of the people turned into the blood sucker and it was so scary! But I keep going back for more!!! It comes on Thursdays at 7:00pm. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars! I also love the the characters that play these crazy people. Besides Vampire Diaries Nina Dodrev also stars in the popular hit series Degrassi. She plays Mia Jones, the single teenage mom. She also starred in the American Mall. Her character was named Ally who always plays the piano until one day a guy’s voice changes that. Paul Wesley who plays the good vampire, starred in some popular hit series such as 24, Army Wives, American Dreams, and more. Ian Somerhalder plays the bad vampire, he starred in CSI, Law of Order, Smallvillie and others.

Apple Documentary

Butter and I watched a documentary over Apple Inc. today in class and were going to write two reviews…..here’s mine

Ok, to me the whole thing was kind of boring. I give it 1 out of 5 stars because it almost put me to sleep. But I couldn’t go because I was in class and the teacher would get mad. It almost didn’t get any stars but there was some comedy. There was an ex-engineer (that’s what he referred to himself as) who was saying some funny stuff. Such as “engineering makes you retarded and you should go out and get a life and a girl friend.” There was also a man that had a whole house/factory full of old Apple computers. He was considered the “collector.” It was so hilarious because everywhere you turned there they where. But besides the ex- engineer and the collector the rest of it was point less. Not to say Apple is point less because without them I wouldn’t have my beloved iPod Touch, but the people that where talking where really BORING!!!! I would tell all the older or computer geeks to check this documentary out. Just like the documentary said the age group for Apple user’s is 55-100 and I’m not apart of that AGE GROUP!!! (Not yet at least)

Funny Quote: “Good artists copy, Great artists steal.”

Special Shout Out To:

- Steve Jobs

- Andy Hertfeld

- Mike Marrkia

- Ron Wayne

- Susan Kare

……………………Just to name a few

FOR MAKING APPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Butter AKA Rayna

So as a class we watched a film Called Welcome to Macintosh. It was a documentary over Apple Computer Company. It showed the struggle the Apple Company had to stay in the computer business. But when Steve Jobs came back to Apple computers, it made a real big difference. It talked about how they thought that Microsoft saved Apple from dying. But the two only reasons was that: 1. Microsoft was confident in Apple and 2. It was like the marking game, stocks were being bought and they had stock partners. But in the end Apple made it big. You see people with iPods and Mac books. But the consumer’s age is mostly between the ages of 50- whatever. The older age group has been following Apple so they’re the ones that buy the new Mac computers. The interviews were pretty interesting. This guy Jim Reekse, was pretty real. He would say things like “engineers are retarded” or “Get a girlfriend, get a life”. He was just basically saying that engineers got it hard. Its not all fun and games, they go through so much work just to get things right. But the innovations of the Apple Computer got better over time. They faced some struggles but got back on the top. I really like the Mac computers they just come with a lot of awesome stuff to play around with. I’m glad that they made the iPod too. If I didn’t have my iPod I think my life would be over. Overall I give the film a 3.5 out of 5. It was really interesting to see the different Apple computers that were made. To me what caught my eye was when they had scenes of the computers just chilling on the grass or out in the open. That was really creative to me. When they would zoom up to the computer it showed dramatic effect. It was pretty cool.

Dance Flick

Well this is Butter AKA Rayna. I saw Dance Flick the other day and overall the movie was pretty umm lame. It really wasn’t that funny to me. It could have been so much better. It was just a movie with a lot of different other parts of dance movies. I know it’s like the “Scary Movies” it was just like random parts put together to make a movie that didn’t make any sense. I know where they were going with this; it was a little bit of “Step Up” and a little bit of “Save The Last Dance”. But it didn’t do it for me. Some parts didn’t even make sense. Like the last scene in the movie was like the ending of “Twilight” that part of the movie failed hard. It didn’t go with the movie at all. And all the racists’ jokes didn’t do it for me either. The only two parts that had me laughing was when they were dissing on Jessica Simpsons for the Cowboys losing and when the baby came out on the dance floor. That was pretty much it. Overall I give the movie a 1.5 out of 5. Sorry Wayne Brothers but “White Chicks” was way better.

HOT ROD

Well it is I Butter AKA Rayna. I am here to write a movie review about Hot Rod. To me this was a great movie. It was freaking hilarious! It’s about a stunt man who you know does some epic (fail) stunts. In the being Rod (Andy Samberg, voice in Space Chimps and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, I love you, Man) wants to earn his stepfather Franks (Ian McShane voice for Kung Fu Panda, Spongebob Squarepants, Coraline, and Shrek the Third) respect as a man. In order for his to do that he must beat Frank down. Well eventually Rod finds out that Frank needs a heart transplant. So him and his crew Dave (Bill Hader, Super Dad, Year One, Pineapple Express, voices in Chowder), Rico (Danny McBride, Super Bad, Pineapple Express, Land of the Lost), Kevin (Jorma Taccone, Land Of The Lost Cha-ka) and Denise (Isla Fisher Wedding Crashers, Definitely, Maybe, Confessions of a Shopaholic) start rising money for the big jump. So he faces some difficulties on the way (failing at the jumps and losing his money to a smashed window) and gives up being a stuntman (he finds out that his father wasn’t a stuntman). But Rod finds out that Kevin uploaded videos of Rod doing stunts and it caught the eye of am radio producer Barry Pasternack (Chris Parnell) and he is now going to sponsoring the big stunt. So in the end Rod does the stunt and he still raised enough money for Franks heart transplant. And he finally gets the respect he deserves form Frank. I give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars. It just has some lame funny parts that you have to laugh at. The “cool beans” scene is pretty epic to the max. After awhile you’ll be quoting the whole freaking movie. You just have to see this movie it’s really funny. Most of the cast that stars in Hot Rod also star in Saturday Night Live. So if you enjoyed seeing Hot Rod ands its crazy characters just check out Saturday Night Live. Also check out music by the Lonely Island composed by: Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer!

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

Today in class we saw Dr. Horribles Sing-Along Blog. The film is about a man whose name was Billy, (Neil Patrick Harris, How I Met your Mother, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo bay, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle) who was an evil villain who falls in love with a "so-called" quite nerdy girl named Penny. (Felicia Day, Bring it on Again, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) But instead of her falling for Billy/ Dr. Horrible she fell for his nemesis Captain Hammer. (Nathan Fillion, White Noise 2: the Light, Waitress) Dr.Horrible got so mad that he decided to use his freeze ray on Captain Hammer. While Penny and Cp. Hammer attended an event for homeless people Dr.Horrible got his freeze ray in position and when Cp. Hammer was almost through with his speech Dr. Horrible froze him and brought out his death ray. But he was scared that he took to long to shoot him and Cp. Hammer came un-frozen. When Cp Hammer came un-frozen he punched Dr. H and stole his death ray. If you want to now the ending check out the movie.

Courtney AKA Salt:

I give the film a 3 out of 5 stars because it was pretty good. They kind of lost me in the beginning. But kept my interest when they started singing and making corny but funny jokes. I didn't give them the whole 5 out of 5 because I didn't like the ending. I think it should have ended different. But I can't wait to see the sequel I bet it's going to be hilarious.

Rayna AKA Butter:

I do believe that the film should get 3.5 out of 5 stars. I was really digging the singing and funny jokes. It was really great. The film had a really great twist towards the end. I can’t wait until the next sequel. Neil Patrick Harris is a really funny guy. He had some great scenes in the movie that makes you really laugh.

Transformers

Hey, this is Salt and I wanted to do a review over Transformers. I now that movie is kind of old but that’s the latest movie I've seen. I know in the previous post I said im going to be current on the movies but I haven't had money so Transformers it is.

Transformers was good to me because the action was awesome! When optimus prime died I almost cried. I was so sad. Also when Shia Labeouf died I lost it. But in the back of my mind I thought he can’t die because he’s the main character. Like 2 seconds later he came back to life! It was like 3hrs long but it was worth it. I give it a
4.5 out of 5!!! If you like the Characters in transformers such as Shia Labeouf or Megan Fox, you might want to check other films/ shows they starred in. Shia Labeouf had his own show in 2000-2003 called Even Stevens. He also was in Holes, and Eagle Eye. Megan Fox was in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and also guest starred in Saturday Night Live and 2 and a half men. She also was in the newly released Jennifer’s Body. I can’t wait till these actors collide and make Transformers 3.
