NIght of the Living Dead

In class Salt and I watched Night of the Living Dead. This film is manly about how the dead is coming back to life. It starts out in a graveyard; there we encounter two of the characters, Barbara (Judith O'Dea) and Johnny (Russell Streiner). That’s when things go wrong. That famous quote “They’re coming for you Barbara!” makes the creepiness come alive. That’s when they first see this weird guy walking towards them. He grabs Barbara and Johnny tires to save her. She gets away and runs for her life. She gets to this house and that’s when things get a bit more intense. Barbara meets Ben (Duane Jones) and they exchange their stories. He is concerted the half-man in this film. So things start to get more intense, they find out that there were people in the cellar (Mr. Cooper, Mrs. Cooper, their daughter, Harry and Judy). They argue and argue about whether or not to staying where they are in the house or to go down in the cellar. They start to make a plan to go to this safe place that the TV said to go if they are in the area. They need to get gas in the truck. They decided to go to the pump and try their luck and see if they can manage to get some gas. Well of course things always go wrong. The car blows up killing two people (Harry and Judy), Ben has to make it back to the house without getting eaten alive. So he makes it back to the house. Mr. Cooper doesn’t want to let him in. He breaks down the door and punches Mr. Cooper a couple of times. The ghouls start to break into the house, they get Barbara, Mr. and Mrs. Coopers daughter turn into a ghouls, eats her dad and kills her mom. Ben goes into the cellar kills the ghoul Mr. and Mrs. Cooper, stays there till morning. He hears noises outside and gets out of the cellar. The police clear out the ghouls that were around the house, goes for the house sees Ben moving inside and shoots him in the hand thinking he is a ghoul. They burn him with the rest of the ghouls. To us this was a very good film. It left us mad a little at the end when they kill Ben. The effects were really good, camera angles were cool. For an old film like this it was very interesting. You should also check it out in color.
